Board of Zoning Appeals

The Board shall consist of seven members appointed by the City Council. One member shall also be a member of the City Planning Commission with the appointment occurring annually. The City Council may also, at its discretion, appoint not more than two alternate members for the same term as regular members of the Board of Appeals, and one alternate representative to the Planning Commission who shall serve for the same one year term as the Planning Commission representative. Members of the Board of Zoning Appeals serve three-year terms. The members hear and determine appeals of decisions of the Zoning Administrator the enforcement of the zoning ordinance within its jurisdiction.
