Nature Center Offers Afternoon at the Troy Farm with Campfire and Hayride

(TROY, MI) – Looking for a creative outdoor activity for your family or a way to gather your scout troop, friends or work group?  Consider the very popular “Afternoon at the Farm—Campfire & Hayride” sponsored by Whole Foods and offered by the Lloyd A. Stage Nature Center.

“What a great way to explore nature in autumn with a terrific outing that includes the chance to learn how animals and plants prepare for winter using biofacts, pelts and mounts, plus enjoying the ambiance of a campfire,” Nature Center Manager Stacy Yankee said.  “After enjoying s’mores, the group will have a chance to enjoy a fabulous farm tradition – the hayride.”

Groups can choose from two timeslots – 12:30-1:30 pm or 2-3 pm – on Saturday, October 16.  This is a family program: children must be accompanied by an adult.  Fee: $7 Resident and $12 Non-resident.

The Stage Nature Center is located at 6685 Coolidge Highway.  For more information, call 248.524.3567.
