Troy Public Library’s BookLetters Program
Makes Finding Great Reads Easy

(TROY, MI) – Keeping track of new and featured titles at the Troy Public Library is now easier than ever thanks to BookLetters online booklists. BookLetters allows Library patrons to access lists of books created by Troy Library staff and include a wide range of subjects, genres, age levels and formats.  Those who are familiar with sites like mybooklist.com or librarything.com will love what BookLetters has to offer.

Through BookLetters, patrons can browse titles online, read previews and reviews, and learn about authors. Once a book that sparks interest is found, it can be placed on hold at the click of a button. Patrons will be notified when the item is available for pick up.

BookLetters offers a variety of ways to subscribe to booklists. In addition to browsing the lists on the Library’s Web site, a patron can subscribe by e-mail or RSS feed to receive updates.  Most lists are updated monthly. The popular “Staff Reads” list, covering titles recommended by Troy Library staff, is updated every other Wednesday.

There is no need to create an account to use BookLetters. Simply go to the Troy Public Library home page (http://www.libcoop.net/troy) and click on Find Books and Reviews in the lower right side of the page. This will take users to the Library’s BookLetters page where they can browse, subscribe, read reviews, place holds and more.

For more information on BookLetters, e-mail Lauren Henderson, Troy Public Library Technology Department, at L.Henderson@troymi.gov or call 248.680.7297. The Troy Public Library is located at 510 West Big Beaver Road.
