(TROY, MI) –
The City of Troy Parks & Recreation Department is offering a new Chess
Wizards Summer Camp, July 20-24 for children
in grades kindergarten through 8th.
Registration
is required and the fee for campers is $350 ($355 non-resident) which includes a
t-shirt, trophy and chess board. The camp will be at the Troy Community Center, July 20- 24 from 9 am- 3 pm.
“Attending
camp is one of the best ways for children and teens to spend their free time,”
Barb Rupas, Recreation Supervisor said. “We’re proud of our excellent coaching staff
focused on making these activities fun and rewarding for our participants.”
Campers
will participate in an array of games and activities throughout the day led by the most energetic staff members. Participants will also
receive quality chess lessons regardless of their level of play.
All campers
should bring a healthy lunch and water bottle to stay energized and refreshed
for the day (no glass). Snacks will be provided.
