(TROY,
MI) – Is your child a star in the making? The Troy
Museum & Historic Village is offering a Children’s Elite Acting Workshop,
Saturdays March 6 to May 22 from 1-2:30 pm for ages 7-13 years old.
This dynamic workshop teaches children a range of acting skills,
including: Voice and movement exercises, Auditioning for stage and camera, Learning
about theatre in different cultures and Theatre improvisation games.
Instructor Jacinta Shanae is an actress
and playwright with ten years experience teaching children. She is best known
locally for portraying Sojourner Truth at the Museum. On the first day of
class, students will “read” for the instructor. Students will improve weekly
through homework and practice.
No class April 3 and April 10. The class will present a final performance
on May 22 for family and friends. The Fee is $100 (10 week class), Space is limited to 20 students.
