Troy Community Chorus Celebrate 30 Years of Singing

(TROY, MI) – This fall marks 30 years of celebrated singing by the Troy Community Chorus. What began in 1978 as a humble gathering of eager student singers enrolled in an adult education course has now grown into more than 70 adult voices blending in harmony.

The singing continues as the Chorus is scheduled to perform at the Troy Daze Festival in September and at its annual holiday concert in December. This year’s holiday concert will feature a variety of songs such as, “Here We Come A-Wassailing,” “Monotone Angel,” “The Winter Rose,” “Spin My Top” and “This Little Babe” from A Ceremony of Carols.

All adult voices who love to sing are invited to join in the fun.  Troy residency is not required and there are no auditions for the general performances.  Rehearsals are every Tuesday at Troy Athens High School from 7:30-9 pm. For more information about the chorus and how to join, contact Shirley at 248.879.0138 or Debra at 248.310.4171.
