Take Advantage of Special Cultural Events in March at the Troy Public Library

(TROY, MI) – The Troy Public Library hosts a variety of programs that offer valuable cultural experiences to its patrons to expand their view of the world beyond the city limits.  Two of the key March events are:

Elizabeth the Great of England with Maureen Esther

Sunday, March 14, 3:30 pm

Elizabeth was Henry VIII’s daughter, England’s Glorianna and the first monarch to have an era named after her.  Visit Elizabethan England with a jewel-studded discussion of the life and times of the legendary Elizabeth I.  Her steady course for England would set the foundation for the colonization of America.  This program is in honor of Women’s History Month.

Sunday Afternoon with the Arts at the Library Concert

Sunday, March 21, 3 pm

Welcome spring with the chamber music repertoire and the warmly blended sound of the Adventure Club Cello Quartet.  This ensemble is comprised of area cellists Naomi Levine, David Levine, Irina Tikhonova and Debra Shuster.

The programs are free, thanks to the “Friends of the Troy Public Library.”  The library is located at 510 West Big Beaver Road.  For more information, call 248.524.3568 (concerts) or 248.524.3543 (fine arts) or go to www.troylibrary.info.
