Holiday Hits for Kids at the Troy Public Library

(TROY, MI) – The Troy Public Library has plenty of fun activities for kids this December. Don’t wait to celebrate the holidays! Start celebrating early! Programs are sponsored by The Friends of Troy Public Library and may require registration.

Come explore these scheduled activities:

December 4, 2008: Graham Craker Houses, Library, 7 pm Build a house of candy to celebrate the holiday festivities with this traditional family activity. Ages: 5+. No registration. FREE.

December 6, 2008: Graham Craker Houses, Library, 11:45 am and 2:30 pm. Build a house of candy to celebrate the holiday festivities with this traditional family activity. Ages: 5+. No registration. FREE.

December 12, 2008: Playtime at the Library, Library, 10:15 am - 12 pm. Chat with other parents while the children make a craft and play. No registration required. All ages. No registration. FREE.

December 12, 2008: Techonolgy Club, Library, 4:15-5:30 pm. Share educational fun on the Internet. Limited space. Ages: 9+. Register. FREE.

December 13, 2008: Saturday Family Story Time, Library, 11:15 am Gloria Constance as Mrs. Santa Claus will help make our holiday happy with her stories. All ages. No registration. FREE.

December 13, 2008: Art Workshop, Library, 2 pm A painting extravaganza will be held, where tempera paint and salt challenges our young artists. Ages: 3+. Register. FREE.

December 18, 2008: Evening Family Story Time, Library, 7 pm. Holiday songs and stories, hot chocolate and cookies create a special time. All ages. No registration. FREE.

December 20, 2008: Video Game Day, Library, 2 pm Calling all gamers to show your best video skills. Play, hang out and eat pizza. Ages: 9+. Registration begins Dec. 5. FREE.

December 22, 2008: Holiday Bingo, Library, 2 pm Yell “Bingo!” loudly as you compete for prizes. Ages: 8+. Registration begins Dec. 5. FREE.

December 26, 2008: Holiday Movie Matinee, Library, 2 pm Holiday movies will be presented for all to view and yummy cookies will be served. All ages. No registration. FREE.

December 27, 2008: Library Babies, Library, 11:30 am You and your child will have a blast with lively activities, fingerplays and singing stories. Ages 6-12 months. Registration begins Dec. 12. FREE.

December 27, 2008: Saturday Movie Matinee, Library, 2 pm Relax and enjoy some holiday movies on this busy day. Cookies will be served. All ages. No registration. FREE.
