EthniCity’s Student Poster Contest
(TROY,
MI) – EthniCity of Troy Daze proudly announces the 2008 Poster
Contest. The poster contest is held in conjunction with the September Troy Daze
Festival, which runs September 11-4, 2008.
The theme for this year’s competition is “Embracing Diversity Through the Golden Rule:
Treat Others as You Would Like to Be Treated.”
Prizes will
be awarded to first, second and third place winners in each of three grade
categories. First prize is $50, second
prize is $25 and third prize is $15.
Grade categories are: K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 (grade is determined as of
September 2, 2008). Students do not need
to be residents of Troy. Artwork must be
the original work of the student and should be no larger than 22 inches by 28
inches. Media includes, but is not
limited to, paint, pencil, crayon, pen & ink, markers, computer-generated
design, or photos.
The
deadline to submit is Monday, September 8. Judging will be
completed before Troy Daze and winners will be notified for the award
presentation at EthniCity of Troy Daze on Sunday,
September 14.

Front Desk (3179 Livernois) or any of the Troy
Elementary School’s Main Offices. The
back of each poster must include the name, grade, school, home address and
