libraries in metropolitan Detroit participating in Everyone’s Reading, a community-wide reading program designed to
promote dialogue through the shared experience of reading and discussing the
same book. This year’s selection is the
blockbuster courtroom thriller Presumed Innocent by best-selling
author and attorney Scott Turow. Come join us for the following programs..
The Law from a
Prosecutor’s Perspective with Eric J. Smith, Macomb County Prosecutor will be
Thursday, February 18 from 7-8:30 pm. Macomb County Prosecuting Attorney Eric J.
Smith will address trends and topics in law enforcement and prosecution, and
discuss the sweeping changes in courtroom technique and technology we can
expect to see in the 21st century.
Mr. Smith will also discuss the many noteworthy cases tried by his
office, from the Steven Grant murder trial to the latest prosecutions by his
highly effective Cold Case Unit.
