enjoy the wide-array of upcoming activities available at the Troy Museum &
Historic Village. Discover a musical experience, craft project and more that
will entertain both kids and adults alike.
Ribbon Embroidery II Saturday,
February 21, from 11 am 12:30 pm
Complete
a beautiful bread basket cloth to take home. Learn some basic ribbon embroidery
stitches, including a stem, leaf and flower that can be used in other projects.
All materials provided. For ages 9 and older. Fee: $10. Registration required.
Thursday Teas at Two
Thursday, February 26, at 2 pm. Sip
a cup of tea while enjoying a slice of history. This month, examine the vintage
and reproduction womens clothing from the Civil War era. Collector Glenna Jo
Christen presents fashions from the mid-1800s. Fee: $4. Registration required.
Homelife
Tour and Candlemaking Saturday, February 28, from
1-2:15 pm. Compare
living in the pioneer log cabin, Civil War-era Caswell house, and
turn-of-the-century Parsonage farmhouse. Discover the architecture, cooking,
social roles, and technology of daily life. Complete the experience by
hand-dipping beeswax candles. Dress for the weather. For
those in third grade and older. Fee: $5. Registration required.
Troy High Country
Fiddlers Saturday, February 28, at 2:30 pm. The Museum welcomes back the Troy High
Country Fiddlers for an exciting concert. Proceeds help support the fiddlers
and the Troy Historical Society. Tickets: $5 (adults) and $3
(students/children). Tickets are limited. Tickets sold at door until sold out.
