Check Out Great Kids Programs in February at the Troy Public Library

(TROY, MI) – The Troy Public Library has plenty of fun activities for kids this February. Programs are free, sponsored by The Friends of Troy Public Library. Some require registration.

Come explore these scheduled activities:

Create a Sparkly Bracelet: Saturday, February 6, 2 pm: Design a colorful bracelet with glitter, beads, and other fun materials. Register. Ages 8+

Light Bulb Lab: Friday, February 12, 10:30 am: The lab meets once a month to conduct amazing fun science experiments. Registration begins January 29. Ages 3-5

Technology Club: Friday, February 12, 4:15 - 5:30 pm: Share educational fun on the Internet. Limited space. Registration begins January 29. Ages 9+

Library Babies: Saturday, February 13, 11:30 am: You and your 6 to12 month old will have a blast with lively activities, finger plays and singing stories. Registration begins January 29.

Munchkin Holiday: Saturday, February 13, 2 pm: Live puppet-show, with lots of audience participation! Tickets are available beginning January 29. All ages

Evening Family Story Time: Thursday, February 18, 7 pm: February has lots of holidays and we will explore some of them tonight. Finish out the night with cookies and milk. No registration required. All ages welcome.

Saturday Movie Madness: February 20, 2 pm: Laugh with us as we present your favorite mouse and cat movie shorts. Snacks will be provided. No registration needed. All ages.

Playtime at the Library: Wednesday, February 24, 10:15 am - noon: Come and chat with other parents and caregivers while children make a craft and play. No registration required. All ages welcome.

Report Writing: Thursday, February 25, 7 pm: The library’s resources can help students write a topic research paper; come learn how. Register beginning on February 12. For students in Grades 4 and up.

Technology Club: Friday, February 26, 4:15-5:30 pm: Share educational fun on the Internet. Registration begins February 12. Ages 9+

Fun with Origami: Saturday, February 27, 2 pm: Come explore the art of paper folding through story and craft. Registration begins February 12. Ages 7+
