(TROY,
MI) –The Oakland
County Health Division is once again offering flu shots at the Troy Community
Center on Thursday, November 6, from 10 am - 3 pm.
The
flu shot is recommended for people 65 and older; for people younger than 65
with medical problems such as heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, etc.; and
for people who live or work with high-risk
individuals.
All
ages are welcome to get their flu shot. People receiving a flu shot with Medicare/Medicaid
need to bring their card and a picture ID, so that Medicare/Medicaid can be
billed. Those without Medicare/Medicaid, and who are able to pay, will be
charged an $11 fee for the shot.
No
appointment is required for a flu shot.
