Wednesday, October 22, from 7-8:30 pm: Chasing Your Elusive Ancestor on the
Internet Local
genealogist, Karen Krugman, will discuss search
techniques and suggestions to help you chase those elusive ancestors on
line. This is a PowerPoint lecture and
discussion.
Monday, November 10, from 6:30-8pm:
Genealogy Databases Learn
how and when to use the genealogy databases available at the Troy Public
Library, including Ancestry Library Edition, HeritageQuest,
and New England Ancestors. This workshop
meets in the computer lab; intermediate computer skills needed. Beginning genealogists welcome.
Wednesday, November 12, from 7-8:30
pm: Color Your Ancestor Alive
In this workshop Krugman
will focus on encouraging researchers to bring their ancestors to life by
adding color to their story with more than just names and dates.
Second Tuesdays, October-December, from
6:30-8 pm: Genealogy
Study Group Facilitated by Diana
Franco, individuals interested in genealogy meet to share tips and experiences
encountered in researching family trees.
Individual questions, experiences, interesting discoveries, new
materials at the library, and online resources will be discussed. All levels of genealogists are welcome.
