Sanctuary Lake Golf Course Offers Free 10- Minute Golf Lessons
During Play Golf America’s PGA Free Lesson Month

(TROY, MI)   PGA Professional Paul Toski of Sanctuary Lake Golf Academy will offer free 10-minute lessons during the month of May in conjunction with the 11th annual Play Golf America’s PGA Free Lesson Month.  To schedule your free 10-minute lesson, call Paul Toski, PGA Professional, Sanctuary Lake Golf Academy at 248.619.7668.

Play Golf America’s PGA Free Lesson Month is designed to bring new people to the sport and help existing golfers improve their game with a free, 10-minute golf lesson conducted by PGA/LPGA Professionals.  The PGA of America and Golf Digest jointly launched this successful campaign in 1998.  PGA Fee Lesson Month is a growth-of-the-game initiative between The PGA of America, Golf Digest, the GOLF CHANNEL, Golf for Women and Golf World.  Nike Golf is the official program sweepstakes sponsor and will donate $1 per sweepstakes card (up to 15,000) to the Tiger Woods Foundation and subsidize a complimentary subscription to Golf Digest.

“There are so many things you can learn in a 10-minute golf lesson,” Paul Toski, Director of Instruction of Santuary Lake Golf Academy said.  “This is a great opportunity for the beginner golfer to come out and get introduced to the game of golf with expert instruction from the PGA Professional staff here at Sanctuary Lake Golf Course.

Every golfer who takes a free lesson and sends in a free lesson card will be entered to win a two-day/two-night golf getaway to The PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla., including hotel accommodations, round-trip economy airfare, a two-day session at The PGA Golf School and a custom fit set of golf clubs and bag from Nike Golf.  The 100 runners-up (chosen at random) will receive one dozen Nike Ignite golf balls plus a PGA First Swing Guide.

Sanctuary Lake Golf Course is located at 1450 E. South Blvd.  This year marks the fifth full season of operation at this par 71 links-style setting.  The course is built on 190 acres of rolling landscape and features approximately 80 strategically placed bunkers, small and undulating bent grass greens, and a vast variety of wildlife species.  Offering forgiveness off the tee and challenge around the greens, Sanctuary Lake is perfect for golfers of all abilities.

All PGA/LPGA Professionals participating in the PGA Free Lesson Month campaign can be found on the industry support Web site PlayGolfAmerica.com.

PGA Free Lesson Month is one of several programs designed to grow and stimulate participation in the game of golf under “Play Golf America,” a national marketing umbrella campaign that is supported by the golf industry.  Play Golf America was developed by The PGA of America, with the support of Allied Associations including:  the LPGA, National Golf Course Owners Association, PGA Tour, USGA and others involved in the annual Golf 20/20 Conference.

Since 1916, The PGA of America’s mission has been twofold; to establish and elevate the standards of the profession and to grow interest and participation in the game of golf.  By establishing and elevating the standards of the golf profession through world-class education, career services, marketing and research programs, the Association enables PGA Professionals to maximize their performance in their respective career paths and showcases them as experts in the game and in the $76 billion golf industry.  By creating and delivering dramatic world-class championships and exciting and enjoyable golf promotions that are viewed as the best of their class in the golf industry, The PGA of America elevates the public’s interest in the game, the desire to play more golf, and ensure accessibility to the game for everyone, everywhere.  The PGA of America brand represents the very best in golf.
