Homelife Tour at Troy Museum & Historic Village is November 1st

(TROY, MI) – Sign up for the next “Homelife Tour & Buttermaking” program at the Troy Museum & Historic Village and see what life was like in three separate eras in American history.  The next tour is Saturday, November 1 from 1-2:15 pm.  Registration is required by October 28.

“The experience will compare living in the pioneer log cabin, the Civil War-era Caswell house, and the turn of the century Parsonage farmhouse,” Museum Manager Loraine Campbell said.  “The focus is on architecture, cooking, social roles, and technology in daily life.”

The chance to experience buttermaking follows the tour, including tasty samples.

Registration is going on now at the Museum, located at 60 W. Wattles Rd. (NW corner of Wattles and Livernois).  The fee is $5 per person.  Space is limited.  For more information, call 248.524.3570.
