2009 Fun for Kids at the Troy Public Library
(TROY, MI) – The Troy Public Library has plenty of
fun activities for kids this January. Programs are free, thanks to The Friends
of Troy Public Library, but may require registration.
Come explore these scheduled
activities:
January 16: Science Fun, 10:45 am. Explore
the world of science. Registration required.
Ages 3-5.
January 17: Thank You, Dr. King, 2 pm. Celebrate
Dr. King’s life with stories and crafts. Registration
required. Ages 3+.
January 23: Technology Club, 4:15-5:30 pm.
Share educational fun on the Internet.
Registration required. Ages 9+.
January 24: Library Babies, 11:30 am. 6-12-month-olds
will love these sessions of lively activities, finger plays, and singing.
Registration required.
January 24: The Seven Chinese Brothers, 2 pm.
Nancy Penvose’s Once Upon a
Puppet will recreate the ancient Han fold tale of The Seven Chinese Brothers.
Also, enjoy a 20-foot-long golden Chinese dragon. Tickets available Beginning Jan. 9. All ages.
January 29: Book Report Writing,
7 pm. Learn the proper steps to writing a winning book report.
Registration required. Grade 4+.
January 31: Art Workshop, 2 pm. Design a
unique collage by using various materials to create a masterpiece. Registration
required. Ages 3+.
