Troy Parks & Recreation Seeking Teens for Leaders In Training Program

(TROY, MI) – The Troy Parks & Recreation Department seeks responsible teens ages 14-17 interested in working with children for an opportunity to gain valuable work experience over the summer.

Selected teens will work closely with children at day camps, safety town or the aquatic area and will earn community service hours while learning leadership skills.  Program registrants must complete an interest application and submit two letters of recommendation by May 1.

The program requires a 5-8 day commitment and hours will vary depending on location assignment.  The goal is to help teens gain valuable community experience that they can add to their resumes and college applications.

Registration is required by May 1.  The fee is $25 for registrants and $30 for non-residents.  The Troy Community Center is located at 3179 Livernois.  For more information, call 248.524.3484.
