“Foster/Folts Duo Goes for Baroque” at the Troy Public Library December 14

 

Concert is Part of the Troy Public Library’s
“Sunday Afternoon with the Arts” Program

 

 

 

(TROY, MI) – The “Sunday Afternoons with the Arts” concert offered by the Troy Public Library at 3 pm, Sunday, December 14 features baroque music as the “Foster/Folts Duo Goes for Baroque.”

 

“Come enjoy works written for violin and  harpsichord by J.S. Bach, Corelli and Fontana,” Library Development Coordinator Barbara Schaich said.  “This will be a magical afternoon of beautiful music.”

 

Daniel Foster teaches violin at Eastern Michigan University and is concertmaster of the Macomb Symphony.  Martha Folts studied at the University of Michigan with Edward Parmentier for her DMA in Harpsichord.  She has recorded for Delos & the Musical Heritage Society and played on WGUC-FM in Cincinnati and Minnesota Public Radio.

 

The concert is free and no reservations are needed.  Interested attendees are encouraged to arrive early for a good seat.
