(TROY, MI) – As dearly loved family members continue
to fight overseas for freedom, take a
few moments to honor and remember all the men and women who have given
the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. The City of Troy hosts its annual Memorial
Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25 at 11 am at Veterans Memorial Plaza in
front of Troy City Hall (500 W. Big Beaver Road).
Join others to honor veterans with
memorializing speeches, music and reflection. Commanding General of the US Army
TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, Major General Scott West, will serve as
keynote speaker.
The ceremony will also include the
dedication of new veteran memorial bricks and the laying of a Memorial
Wreath. It concludes with the raising of
colors, a moment of silence and the benediction.
The public is welcome to attend. The ceremony will last approximately one
