Salute Our Veterans at the City Of Troy Memorial Day Observance

(TROY, MI) – As dearly loved family members continue to fight overseas for freedom, take a few moments to honor and remember all the men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.  The City of Troy hosts its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25 at 11 am at Veterans Memorial Plaza in front of Troy City Hall (500 W. Join others to honor veterans with memorializing speeches, music and reflection. Commanding General of the US Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, Major General Scott West, will serve as keynote speaker.

The ceremony will also include the dedication of new veteran memorial bricks and the laying of a Memorial Wreath.  It concludes with the raising of colors, a moment of silence and the benediction.

The public is welcome to attend.  The ceremony will last approximately one hour.  For more information, contact the Community Affairs Department at 248.524.1147.
