Troy families watching their entertainment budgets this summer will want to
make plans to attend several free,
high-quality, family friendly events.
“Music, Movies and Moonlight” returns to Troy this summer, guaranteeing
two wonderful evenings of terrific free family entertainment.
“Music, Movies and Moonlight”:
Bring your lawn chairs and
blankets to Boulan Park and enjoy a great concert
followed by a big screen
movie, thanks to sponsor Flagstar Bank.
The returning “Music, Movies and Moonlight” will offer two
separate Saturday evenings – July 25 and August 22 – of entertainment to
enjoy. Music will begin at
7
pm and the movies at dusk. To help ensure everyone has plenty of
munchies on hand, the Troy Community Coalition will run the concession
stands. All sales will benefit the
Coalition.
Saturday,
July 25: “Kung Fu Panda” at Boulan Park.
Tom
Butwin
will provide music until dusk when the movie starts. Having performed his own songs since the age
of 15, this hometown musician will perform pop, rock and acoustic music. The movie is rated PG.
Saturday, August 22: “Enchanted” at Boulan
Park.
The
band “Mass Transit” will be featured, a seven-piece all-purpose band with
over 25 years of entertainment experience playing Motown, rock ‘n’ roll,
disco, R&B and swing, followed by
the movie. This movie is rated PG.
