Troy Families Can Take Advantage of Great Free Entertainment this Summer

“Music, Movies and Moonlight” Events are Perfect for Family Budget

(TROY, MI) – Troy families watching their entertainment budgets this summer will want to make plans to attend several free, high-quality, family friendly events.  “Music, Movies and Moonlight” returns to Troy this summer, guaranteeing two wonderful evenings of terrific free family entertainment.

“Music, Movies and Moonlight”:

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to Boulan Park and enjoy a great concert followed by a big screen movie, thanks to sponsor Flagstar Bank.  The returning “Music, Movies and Moonlight” will offer two separate Saturday evenings – July 25 and August 22 – of entertainment to enjoy.  Music will begin at

7 pm and the movies at dusk.  To help ensure everyone has plenty of munchies on hand, the Troy Community Coalition will run the concession stands.  All sales will benefit the Coalition.

Saturday, July 25:  “Kung Fu Panda” at Boulan Park.

Tom Butwin will provide music until dusk when the movie starts.  Having performed his own songs since the age of 15, this hometown musician will perform pop, rock and acoustic music.  The movie is rated PG.

Saturday, August 22:  “Enchanted” at Boulan Park.

The band “Mass Transit” will be featured, a seven-piece all-purpose band with over 25 years of entertainment experience playing Motown, rock ‘n’ roll, disco,  R&B and swing, followed by the movie.   This movie is rated PG.
