Line-Up of Outdoor Music is on Tap as the Troy Museum Hosts its
“Music
in the Air 2008”
(TROY,
MI) – Another great
line-up of musicians will perform on Sunday afternoons in July and August from 2-4
pm at the Troy Museum. Spend a
relaxing summer afternoon with your lawn chair and picnic lunch while you enjoy
the sounds of Big Band, Rock, Folk, Irish Jigs and Calypso. Snacks will also be
available for purchase.
Following
is the schedule of performers:
July
27 Dulcimer Days: Vocal and instrumental
folk music focused on Michigan with audience participation.
August
3 Gratitude Steel Band: Enjoy family
Calypso and Reggae music that’s fun for all.
August
10 Blackthorn: Jigs, reels, and ballads
combined with stories describe the Irish experience.
August
17 Rich Eddy’s Rockin‘ Oldies Band: Have a rockin‘ good
time with your favorite ’50s & ’60s Rock and Roll music.
Music
in the Air 2008 is funded in part by the Michigan Council for Arts &
Cultural Affairs. There is also a suggested donation at the gate of $5 for that
age 18+. Donations support the Troy Historical Society’s Heritage Campaign to
expand the Museum.
The
Troy Museum is located at 60 West Wattles Road on the northwest corner of
Wattles and Livernois. Concerts will be moved indoors in case of
