Nature Center Offers “Little Acorns” Program for Young Nature Lovers

(TROY, MI) – Young nature lovers are invited to join the Lloyd A. Stage Nature Center for a day of natural excitement.  Explore the sights, smells and sounds of winter during a hands-on-hike with a young child at the Center’s “Little Acorns” program on Thursday, January 27, from 10:30-11:30 am (1-3 year-olds) or 12:30-1:30 pm (3-4 year olds).

This program will take place completely outside, except in the event of extreme inclement weather.  Bring children in backpacks, strollers with large wheels (sturdy enough for a wood chipped trail) or sleds for snow.  This program is designed for children between the ages of 1-4 and their adult parent/caregiver.  The adult partner is free and must accompany the child throughout the program.

Registration is required.  The fee is $5 for residents and $10 for non-residents.

The Nature Center is located at 6685 Coolidge Highway in Troy.  To register or for more information, call 248.524.3567.
