“Nature Escape” Lets Kids Explore the Nature Center at Night

(TROY, MI) – The Lloyd A. Stage Nature Center is once again offering its popular evening program for kids, “Nature Escape,” on Friday, February 6, from 6-9 pm.  Children, ages 4-8, will play games, do crafts, and take part in a number of activities that will enhance their appreciation of the world around them.

“This is a great way for kids to spend a Friday evening,” Nature Center Manager Stacey Yankee said.  “Children will make puppets and masks, touch animal furs and bone, and even see animal mounts while learning all they can about the great outdoors.”

Children should be dressed for the outdoors.  A night hike on the trails is scheduled to look for animal activity, weather permitting.  In addition, each child needs to bring a sack dinner.  Refreshments are included.

Registration required.  The fee is $15 per child.  The Nature Center is located at 6685 Coolidge Highway in Troy.  For more information, call 248.524.3567.
