“Nature Escape” Lets Kids Explore the Nature Center for a

Valentine’s Night Out!

(TROY, MI) – The Lloyd A. Stage Nature Center is once again offering its popular evening program for kids, “Nature Escape,” on Friday, February 12, from 6-9 pm.  This time the theme is “Valentine’s Night Out” and children, ages 4-8, will play games, do crafts, and take part in a number of activities, including a night hike.  Children will be separated into two groups, one with children ages 4-5 and the other ages 6-8.

“Plan your valentine night out by sending your kids to this great Nature Escape!” Nature Center Manager Stacey Yankee said.  “We will enjoy our sack dinners with other predators of the wild and the kids will help us call animals of the night on our special hike.  It’s a truly fun way to enable your children to enhance their appreciation of the world around them.”

Children should be dressed for the outdoors.  A night hike on the trails is scheduled to look for animal activity, weather permitting.  In addition, each child needs to bring a sack dinner.  Refreshments are included.

Registration required.  The fee is $16 per child for residents and $18 for non-residents.  The Nature Center is located at 6685 Coolidge Highway in Troy.  For more information, call 248.524.3567.
