the Troy Museum & Historic Village during the month of November for two great
programs:
Evening Lecture Series –
The Youngest Nurse at Annapolis
Wednesday, November 18, at
7:30 pm
Dr.
Ellen Oliver Smith, Madonna University Professor, weaves the compelling story
of 19-year-old Helen Noye Hoyt, a young woman who was
sent to the U.S. General Hospital in Annapolis by her sewing circle in
1863. Fee: $5 at the door; free for Troy
Historical Society members.
Thursday Teas at Two – Tinsel
and Traditions Tea
Thursday, November 19,
at 2 pm
Sip
a cup of tea while enjoying a slice of history. The Museum’s own Ann Nagrant will share the
history of some favorite American holiday traditions. Share your own family’s holiday traditions
and bring a favorite decoration or ornament to show. Fee: $5. Registration required.
