The Museum has Great Offerings in November for Young Historians

(TROY, MI) – Fascinating tales and fun activities await curious young minds at the Troy Museum & Historic Village:

Cheddar’s Preschool Story Hour – Wednesday, November 4, at 10:30-11:15 am.

Listen to a classic tale and complete a craft revolving around this month’s theme – Happy Thanksgiving!  A yummy treat will be served to complete the experience. This event is appropriate for children ages 2-5 and all children must be accompanied by an adult.  Phone registration is required.  The fee for adults is $3; children attend for free.

VillageTour and Candlemaking – Saturday, November 21, from 1-3 pm.

Take a trip through Troy’s past in the crisp fall air. An interpreter will guide your visit to the City’s crown jewel as you learn about your community’s heritage and hand-dip a souvenir candle.  Dress for the weather.  Fee: $5 per person. This event is appropriate for third-graders to adult.  Perfect for Scout Groups, too.  Registration is required for groups (minimum of five people) and each group is welcome to one free adult chaperone.

The Troy Museum and Historic Village is located at 60 West Wattles Road at the northwest corner of Wattles and Livernois.  For more information, or to register for activities, call 248.524.3570.
