(TROY, MI)
– The Troy Daze Festival Committee is encouraging community participation for
the Troy Daze Parade on Saturday, September 13 at 10 am. The parade route will begin at Troy High
School and move south on Northfield Parkway to Boulan Park.
“We
are so excited to continue this great family event for the Troy community,”
Parade Chair Diana McKay said. “Once we
had grandchildren we felt it was important to step up and help bring the parade
together for the kids. It’s a great way
to be a part of the spirit of Troy Daze.”
McKay noted they are seeking parade
participants including floats, school organizations, dance, musical, karate and
church groups. Community organizations
are also welcome. In addition, the
committee is also looking for Grand Marshal nominations.
““Nominations may be made with a letter
of recommendation of 100 words or less,” McKay said. “We had a terrific set of nominations last
year. In fact, if you nominated someone
last year, please be sure to re-send that nomination for the panel to consider.
”
