FOR RELEASE: March 23,
2010
(TROY,
MI) – The Troy Museum
and Historic Village plays host to a “Petting Farm and Baby Animals” on
Saturday April 24 from 1-3 pm. This is a
great opportunity to learn about farm animals and babies from Bowers Farm.
“The
village is a beautiful backdrop for children to experience the wonderful time
of year when animals are born and sheep must be sheared,” Museum Manager
Loraine Campbell said. “It’s a chance to
feel sheep’s wool and brush out the tangles, pet a pony, lamb, and rabbit.
There will even be the opportunity to milk a goat.”
Museum
admission is $3 for adults, $2 for children ages 6-17. Children under the age of six are free.
The
Museum is located at 60 West Wattles Road at the northwest corner of Wattles
and Livernois. For more information, or
to register, call 248.524.3570.
