(TROY, MI) – The Troy Community Center is offering a 50+ Men’s & Women’s Doubles Pickleball Tournament
from 2-8 pm on Saturday, March 7.
Women check in at 1:30 pm, begin
playing at 2 pm with awards presented at 5 pm.
Men will check in at 4:30 pm, begin playing at 5 pm, and their awards
are at 8 pm. Awards will be presented
for first, second and third place.
Described as a cross between tennis,
badminton, and ping-pong, pickleball is a wonderful way to stay active. The tournament
will feature round-robin play, one game to 11 points, followed by a single
elimination playoff among the top six teams playing one game to 15 points.
The fee is $20 per person for residents
and $25 per nonresident.
