(TROY, MI)
– Troy enjoyed its 41tst annual Troy
Daze Festival September 17-20 at Boulan Park,
featuring talent shows, photography and art contests, carnival rides, a wide
range of entertainment and a fantastic fireworks display.
““We
want to thank the entire committee, the City staff, our sponsors, the many
adult and student volunteers and everyone who attended,” Co-Chairs Michael
Gonda and Bob Berk said. “It’s a
privilege to be a part of something that brings people together in the spirit
of true community making this great Troy tradition such a huge success.”
Close to 80,000 people attended the four-day
festival, the largest community event in the city.
“It
is a special team of people who come together to make the festival such a
well-run event,” City of Troy Community Affairs Director Cindy Stewart
said. “On behalf of the City, we
congratulate the all-volunteer Troy Daze Committee for once again creating such
a safe, positive, family friendly event for our community. And a special thanks
to all the high school students who gave countless hours to volunteer this past
week.”
