“These informal sessions will give us and our citizens the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas related to the acceptable level of City Services,” Mayor Louise Schilling said.  “During these tough economic times, it is vital for us all to work together in keeping Troy a great place to live, work and raise a family.”

For each session, there will be up to three members of the Troy City Council who will listen to the attendees and also provide their recently approved Vision Statement and Goals, and information about the current economic climate within the City.  These sessions are not official meetings, but instead are an opportunity for informal dialogue with the residents.

In addition to these dates, Councilman Dane Slater and Councilwoman Maureen McGinnis will also be holding separate Office Hours at the Troy Community Center in Room 404 on Tuesdays, March 8, 15, April 5, 19, and May 3, 17, 31 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. These Office Hours are not official meetings, but instead are an opportunity for informal dialogue with the residents.

Any Troy service club, homeowners association or citizens group with more than 20 participants that would like to have some of the Council Members attend an upcoming meeting, please contact Cindy Stewart at 248.524.1147 or cindy.stewart@troymi.gov for available dates.
