(TROY,
MI) – It’s going to
be a warm and cozy February at the Troy Museum and Historic Village with a
special exhibit of homemade quilts provided by the Cameo Quilt Guild. Two events are scheduled on Thursday, February 4, to help kickoff
the month-long display:

A
Quilt Exhibit Open House will be held from 2-4 pm, featuring five
display sites, including a rare chance to see historic quilts in the upstairs
bedrooms of the Caswell House. Members
of the Cameo Quilt Guild will be on hand to showcase their handiwork. No registration is required.

“The Quilt Life” Presentation is the
same day from 2-2:45 pm. Vera Milz will
speak about the history of quilting in America from pioneer times to present
day. Attendees may bring along quilt
squares from their family collections and learn more about the pieces. Tea and refreshments will be served. After the program, participants can enjoy the
Open House.
Museum
admission is $3 for adults, $2 for children ages 6-17. Children under the age of six are free.
