Senior Job Fair and Volunteer Expo is
Planned
(TROY, MI)
– Employers and non-profits have a great opportunity to recruit seniors 50 and
older at the Senior Job Fair and
Volunteer Expo scheduled for Friday,
September 19 from 9:30 am - noon at the Troy Community Center.
“Whether you are looking for seasonal,
part-time or year-round employees or volunteers, this will be great opportunity
to meet face-to-face with seniors in a professional setting,” Senior Recreation
Supervisor Carla Vaughan said. “Older workers
are recognized and valued for having a good work ethic and for providing
experience, knowledge, and job stability in the workplace.”
The fee for employers to participate
is $10 for one six-foot table. There is
no charge for non-profit organizations recruiting volunteers.
Employers unable to attend the event
that would like a job posted at the fair can e-mail a one-page “pdf” file with
the job information to vaughancs@troymi.gov.
