“Back to School” Fun for Kids at the Troy Public Library
(TROY, MI) – The Troy Public Library has plenty of
fun activities for kids this September. Programs are free thanks to our sponsor
The Friends of Troy Public Library and may require registration.
Come explore these scheduled
activities:
September
5: Playtime at the
Library, 10:15 am-noon. Come chat with other
parents while the children make a craft and play. No registration. All ages.
September
6: Saturday Movie
Matinee, 2 pm. Drop in for afternoon movies while snacking on
cookies. No registration. Ages 3 and up.
September
13: Saturday Family
Story Time, 11:15 am. Gloria Constance spins her stories as Mother
Goose. No registration. All ages.
September
13: Art Workshop, 2
pm. Try your artistic hand at “yarn art” creating a special picture for
your home. Register beginning August 9.
September
21: Chess, 2-5 pm.
Experience friendly competition as Tom Manion leads
students in a chess session. Register beginning September 5. Ages 7 and up.
September
25: Evening Family
Story Time, 7 pm. Fall sotries
create a special time, then we’ll share milk and cookies with everyone. No registration. All ages.
September
26: Technology Club, 4:15-5:30
pm. Let’s explore Microsoft Word to help prepare a new school year. Register beginning
September 12. Ages
9 and up.
September
27: Library Babies, 11:30
am. You and your 6-12 month old will have a blast with lively activities, fingerplays and singing stories. Registration begins September 12.
September
27: Palamazoo, 2 pm. Susan Harrison is an entertaining
chameleon who wows audiences with her upbeat interactive performances. Her lively spirit, playful original songs,
colorful palamazoo puppet characters, rhythmic dance
and enchanting stories invite you to join in her fun performances. Tickets available September
12. All ages.
