Troy Parks & Recreation Still has Room for Kids at Some Great Summer Camps

 

 

(TROY, MI) – It’s not too late to sign your kids up for some more great summer fun at Troy Parks & Recreation Summer Camps.

 

August 10-14: Skateboarding Camp 2009, Troy Skate Park, 9 am-noon. This instructional camp will be the perfect opportunity for children interested in learning the tricks kids see on ESPN’s X-Games in a safe, well-structured camp. August 10-14: Me and My Planet Earth, Community Center, 9 am-noon. Kids will have fun making earth-themed crafts while learning to be a steward of the earth. See Troy Today or call 248.524.3484 for details. Ages 4-6 & 7-9.  Fee: $150 resident, $155 non-resident.

 

August 10-14: Survivor Summer Camp Kids Style, Community Center, 9 am-4 pm. The day camp will feature daily physical, mental and team challenges. See Troy Today or call 248.524.3484 for details. Ages 7-9 & 10-12. Fee: $110 resident, $115 non-resident.

 

August 10-14: Water Warriors Camp, Community Center, 9 am-4:15 pm. Each week will involve water-themed activities and contests, speakers on water rescue/safety, pizza party, field trip to an area Water Park and much more. Ages 7-12. Register. Fee: $95 resident, $100 non-resident.

 

August 13: Camp Scrap-A-Lot, Community Center, 1-3 pm. This is the perfect way for your child to create a memorable keepsake album in one class. Your child only needs to bring 24 photos. Included in the two-hour class: choice of two-tone pink or two-tone blue PicFolio Minutes album, 24 photo mats, Micro shape maker punch (creates butterflies, flowers, fish and frogs), adhesive and pen! Instruction and use of other scrapbooking tools included. Ages 5-18. Register. Fee: $41.

 

August 17-21: T.O.G.A. EXTREME Camp, Independence Oaks, 8:40 am-4:10 pm. This camp combines leadership, adventure, teambuilding, and outdoor recreation into five days full of fun and excitement. Ages 11-15. Fee: $190 resident, $195 non-resident.

 

August 17-21: KIDS Camp, Troy Farm, 9 am-4 pm. Experience a traditional daycamp with various outdoor activites. Bring a sack lunch each day, snack, and water bottle. See Troy Today or call 248.524.3484 for details. Ages 6-8 & 9-11. Fee: $125 resident, $130 non-resident.

 

August 17-21:  “All That and Then Some...” Middle School Summer Blast, Community Center, 9 am-4 pm. Trained staff will provide a safe environment that will include challenging activities such as swimming, bowling, rockwall, group games, and more. Campers will need to bring a lunch, snack and water bottle each day. Registration fee includes: supervision, two field trips, rockwall, camp t-shirt, and supplies. Ages 10-13. Fee: $130 resident, $135 non-resident.

 

August 17-21: Mouse Robot, Community Center, 9 am-noon. Design and build robots to do some interesting things with our Robotix equipment.  Register before August 10.  Ages 7-12. Fee: $144 resident, $149 non resident.
