Be Creative at the Troy Public Library

(TROY, MI) – Register now for the Troy Public Library Summer Reading Program for a chance to win great prizes. Simply choose books, read them, and enter them online - it’s that easy!

With the school year coming to a close, children ages 3-12 can avoid summer boredom by reading! Record books weekly and pick up a special prize in Youth Services. Make it a family activity by reading to your child every night! Children may use alternative formats such as audio books, Playaways, Braille books or electronic audio books.

“This is a great program because participants can read at their own pace,” Library Director Cathy Russ said. “Participants get to set their own personal goals, and they will earn rewards along the way based on the number of books they read.”

Participants have a chance to earn a new prize each time and qualify for the Summer Reading Program finale, “The Laugh Factory,” where Joel Tacey presents a traveling comedy club for kids that includes magic, wacky contests, jokes and 100 percent controlled craziness.

Be Creative begins June 15 and concludes August 13. Children ages 3-12 can sign up for the reading program online at www. libcoop.net/troy or by simply stopping by the library. The Troy Public Library is located at 510 West Big Beaver Road.
