“Make a Splash” at the Library Summer Reading Program!

(TROY, MI) – Starting Monday, June 14, register online for the Troy Public Library Summer Reading Program called “Make a Splash.”  Simply choose books, read them, and enter them online.  Record books weekly and pick up a special prize in Youth Services.  Earn a new prize each week.

Children of all abilities 3-12 years of age are welcome to join in the reading fun.  Pre-readers (children whose books are read to them by family or friends) can also join the program and qualify for prizes.  Children may use alternative formats such as audio books, Playaways, Braille books or electronic audio books.

“This is a great program to help encourage reading throughout the summer,” Library Director Cathy Russ said.  Participants get to set their own personal goals, and they will earn rewards along the way based on the number of books they read.”

“Make a Spash” begins June 14 and concludes August 14.  Sign up online at www. troylibrary.info or stop into Youth Services for help signing up.  The Troy Public Library is located at 510 West Big Beaver Road.
