Troy Traffic Jam:  Chrome, Muscle and Music –
Inaugural Classic Car Show a Huge Success

 

(TROY, MI) – Car enthusiasts came out on Sunday, August 10 for the inaugural Troy Traffic Jam, an exciting classic car show in the City of Troy!  Troy Traffic Jam:  Chrome, Muscle and Music made its debut at the Columbia Center on Sunday, August 10.  The event combined all of the fun and excitement of a traditional car shows with entertaining music from DJ Bob Steel and delicious food from Troy restaurants Kona Grill, Champps, Maggiano’s Little Italy, McCormick & Schmicks, Insalata, Achatz Handmade Pie Company, and Gateway Deli. 

 

Spectators were treated to shining chrome and gleaming paint as a variety of classic automobiles, hot rods and muscle cars were featured at the show.  Visitors also had a glimpse of an assortment of innovative concept cars, featured cars from the GM Heritage Collection, and specialty cars from the Suburban Collection.  Henry Ford Health System had a Wellness Tent offering health screenings along with antique and modern ambulances. 

 

Troy Traffic Jam:  Chrome, Muscle and Music, sponsored by Kirco, Columbia Center, Kelly Services, The Suburban Collection, Henry Ford Health System and TMW Enterprises raised $50,000 to benefit the Troy Historical Society Heritage Campaign to relocate and restore the Historic Johnson Niles home, built in 1837, located at Livernois and Square Lake, to the Troy Museum & Historic Village site at 60 W. Wattles.
