Workshop Focuses on the Transition from Analog to Digital TV
(TROY,
MI) – The fourth in a
series of five free workshops designed to help participants “Embrace a Changing
Economy” is Wednesday, October 29 from
7-9 pm at the Troy Community Center.
This workshop focuses on the “Transition from Analog to Digital TV.”
Jay Wiencko, from Community Media Network, will give a brief presentation
on this important transition for television.
Learn what kinds of televisions will go dark on February 17, 2009 and
how to prevent losing signals. Details
of the U.S. Government’s converter box coupon purchase program will also be
shared.
Brought to
you by the Community Affairs, Library and Parks and Recreation Departments, the
“Embracing a Changing Economy” workshops focus on topics that concern each and
every resident. The fifth and final
workshop in the series is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12, and is
titled: “How to Stretch a Dollar and
What Affects Your Credit Score.”
A question
and answer session will be available at each seminar. Each speaker is qualified within their field
and will not solicit attendees. For more
