Enjoy Yoga, Naturally in the Serenity of the Troy Nature Center

 

 

(TROY, MI) – Learn the ancient practice of Hatha Yoga, emphasizing postures found in nature at the tranquil setting of the Stage Nature Center.   Registration is being held now for the Fall classes, which run on Sundays, October 3 – December 19 from 1-2 pm.  The ten classes are for adults and children ages 12 and up.  The fee is $106 for Troy residents, $116 for non-residents.

 

Previous yoga experience is not required. Participants should wear loose comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat and towel. Yoga blocks or straps are optional. At the instructor’s discretion, some classes may be held outside. Classes will not be held on November 21 and 28.

 

The Fall class series is great for the beginner or continuing student.  Janice Bahura will demonstrate proper stretching, emphasizing plant and animal postures found in nature, as well as breathing techniques to center the mind.  This results in a sense of restoration, relaxation and peace.
