Enjoy Yoga in the Serenity of the
Stage Nature Center
(TROY, MI)
– Learn the ancient practice of Hatha Yoga in the
tranquil setting of the Stage Nature Center.
Registration is being held now for Spring classes,
which run on Sundays, March 29 - June 14 from 1-2 pm. The ten classes are for adults and
children ages 12 and up. The fee is $99
for Troy residents, $104 for non-residents.
Previous yoga experience is not
required. Participants should wear loose comfortable
clothing, bring a yoga mat and a towel. Yoga blocks or
straps are optional. At the instructor’s discretion, some classes may be held
outside. Classes will not be held on April 12 and May 24.
The Spring
class series is great for the beginner or continuing student. Janice Bahura will
demonstrate proper stretching, emphasizing plant and animal postures found in
nature, as well as breathing techniques to center the mind. This results in a sense of restoration,
relaxation and peace.
