(TROY, MI) – Finishing a bright summer concert series, Troy’s Jazz on the Corridor welcomes the band “The Sun Messengers” Thursday, August 21, from 6:30-8:30pm. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to the Columbia Center at 101 W. Big Beaver for a chance to listen to great music and relax with friends. Gateway Deli will sell food items including barbeque hotdogs, hamburgers, pop, munchies and ice cream.
The Sun Messengers are an eight-piece, horn-driven R&B show band that has pleased crowds of the Detroit area since it first formed in 1980. As a house band for the Detroit Pistons, the Sun Messengers play everything from Motown classics and old school funk to big band, classic rock and jazz standards.
