“The Kneisel Trio does an excellent job teaching the skills needed to become master musicians,” Troy Library Program Developer Barb Schaich said.  “The Youth Chamber Music Institute is a wonderful learning experience for talented young musicians”

The critically acclaimed Kneisel Trio has performed throughout the United States.  The Trio began playing together in 1990 while attending The Juilliard School.  Members of the Beaux Arts Trio, The Julliard Quartet and Harvey Shapiro have coached them.  Their mission is to enhance the ability of each participant to play chamber music by building their collaborative skills, teaching rehearsal techniques, problem solving, interpretation and expression.

This year’s YCMI is funded in part through the generosity of Amateur Chamber Music Players and the Clinton B. Ford Fund of its ACMP Foundation, an organization that promotes chamber music activities for amateur musicians, and a Community Grant from Target Stores.
