Downtown Development Authority

The Downtown Development Authority (DDA), as established by State Statute, Act 197 of 1975, is composed of thirteen members, twelve of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to approval by a majority vote of the City Council, for four-year terms. At least seven members of the Board must have a property interest in the Downtown Development District and the City of Troy's Mayor serves as the Board's thirteenth member. The DDA engages in long-range planning for the downtown area; land acquisition and improvement; building construction and improvement and acquisition and improvement of public facilities for revitalizing the City of Troy's downtown area.

The DDA meets at Troy City Hall on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 am. City liaison: Assistant City Manager/Economic Development Services, 248.524.3330.
