I am a new resident to Troy. Where can I obtain community or city service information?

The Community Affairs Department offers a packet of information with copies of the Troy Today quarterly newsletter, service directory, map, brochures and resources to help familiarize new residents with their community or to help prospective residents examine all that Troy has to offer. Stop by the Community Affairs Office in the upper level of Troy City Hall, 500 W. Big Beaver or call 248.524.1147.

What does the Community Affairs Department do?

The Community Affairs Department was establised in 1998 to create centralized information resource for citizens, news media and departments. Its responsibilities include keeping the public informed about their City services, news and events. Community Affairs coordinates projects including publishing the Troy Today quarterly newsletter, the City Service Directory, develops the City of Troy website content and publishes brochures and other materials as needed for other departments and programs. The Department is also responsible for managing WTRY government access television - including taping and airing City Council Meetings, special events, and developing the Cable Bulletin Board information. The Department manages the City's media relations to promote city events, activities and important announcements.
