These departments deal with the day-to-day operations of the City. The Assistant City Manager/Services oversees departments under this division including Economic Development, Building Inspection, Building Maintenance, Engineering, Planning and Public Works.

Troy is a full-service community. The City currently maintains 16 developed parks sites, 8 of which are major parks. City parks provide a variety of recreational opportunities from baseball diamond complexes to miles of developed walking, jogging, and bicycle riding paths.

The City has received many awards from various professional associations and municipal services organizations for innovative approaches to service delivery and quality improvements.
