One-Room School

Second to Fifth Grade

Students will experience a day in a typical one-room school. They will use the names of real children registered at Poppleton School. A museum interpreter will conduct lessons prepared from the McGuffey Reader, Webster Speller and Ray's Arithmetic. Students will also participate in oral lessons on history and "experience" the punishments that would have resulted from misbehavior. Come dressed in old-fashioned clothes to feel the part. We will try to accommodate you if you wish to stay for lunch. (Approximate program duration 1.5 hours.)
