Special Events

Special Events are offered each year. Most events feature historic reenactors, artisans at work, children's crafts, music, special activities, food and fun for the entire family. Contact the museum for more information about special events throughout the year.

A Candy Cane Christmas

Saturday, December 4, 2010 1-3 pm

Thanks to a generous operational grant from the Kresge Foundation, the Troy Museum will be opne for a holiday celebration. Children can visit with Santa in the Church. Discover homemade gifts, rustic traditions, and old-fashioned holiday decorations that people have made and enjoyed even during challenging economic times. Free with admission. Fee: Adults $3, Children (ages 6-17) $2, Children under 6 free.

Toys For Tots

'Tis the season! Help the U.S. Marine Corps collect toys for needy children in our area. Bring a new unwrapped toy to the Museum (on days it is open) between Nov 30 and Dec 9 for the annual Toys for Tots Campaign. Bring a toy to A Simple Holiday Cheer event on Dec 4!
