RECREATION PASS INFORMATION
Troy residents, business employees and non-residents are eligible to purchase a Recreation Pass at the Troy Community Center. The facility includes three fitness rooms, an indoor aquatic center, gymnasium, locker rooms, dance and aerobic studios and child care center. To use these recreation areas, affordable passes can be purchased at the Community Center by following the steps below:
FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO REGISTER:
- Determine the type of Recreation Pass (see below) that is best for you.
- Visit the Community Center to complete a membership application. Select an individual (pdf) or corporate (pdf) membership application.
- Bring in proper documentation (see below) to verify residency or employment status in Troy.Patrons will be designated as non-residents if documentation is not complete.
- Bring in a voided check if signing up for Electronic Fund Transfer service associated with an on-going Recreation Pass. Click here for an EFT form (pdf).

Recreation Pass (Unlimited Access)
The Recreation Pass offers eligible pass holders access to the recreation areas (indoor pool, fitness rooms, gymnasium, and locker rooms) during "open use" times. This pass may be purchased by one of the following methods:
- An Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) service allows the fee to be deducted from either a credit card or checking/savings account on a monthly basis. Membership may be cancelled at any time by completing a Pass Cancellation Form at least 30 days prior to transaction date.
- An Annual payment can be made for a one-year membership. This fee is non-refundable. Patrons must renew every year.
Recreation Pass (Matinee)
The "matinee" Recreation Pass grants access to the same facilities as the unlimited Recreation Pass but use is limited to Monday - Friday from 8 am - 3 pm.
Corporate Recreation Pass
Businesses physically located in Troy may purchase a transferable recreation pass (minimum of 10) that can be used by its employees, family members or guests. Click here (pdf) for an application and more information.
Single Month Pass
The single month pass offers the same access as the unlimited Recreation Pass but is only valid for one month from the date of purchase. This pass is ideal for a patron who only wants a membership for specific months during the year.
Summer Pass
This pass is valid from May 1 - September 11 and is ideal for students during the summer months.
Daily Pass
A daily pass allows unlimited use of the recreation areas for the day the pass is sold. Group rates for 20 or more are available by filling out the group pass application (pdf).
Punch Card
The Daily Pass Punch Card is transferable within the same household and allows the card holder 10 separate visits for $2 less than the single visit rate.
Additional Pass Information
- An additional program fee is required for childcare, fitness classes and personal training. Discounts to many of these services are available, however, for holders of a Recreation Pass.
- Youth family members are defined as dependent children between 3 and 17 years of age who live in the same household. If the last name is different than the head of the household, a birth certificate is required.
- Non-resident employees must be employed full or part-time with a business located in Troy. Employees do not qualify if the company's home office is in Troy but they work at a facility outside of Troy.
- The following discounts only apply to residents purchasing the unlimited Recreation Pass with proper documentation:

Must have same last name as the Head of Household's. Valid ID's include Driver's License, Checking Account, School ID or Report Card. If last name is different, certificate of birth or marriage must be displayed.
Non-resident Employees:
Employment verification letter on company letterhead and most recent pay stub. If business property owner in Troy, copy of lease agreement with Troy address. Caregivers must display an employment letter and current pay stub from Troy family.

Payment Options
- Cash, check, credit card (Master Card, Visa) or gift certificates are accepted forms of payment.
- Payment for the Recreation Pass must be made monthly via an electronic fund transfer service associated with your checking/savings or credit card account.
- Electronic Transfer Agreement Application
. The first four months of membership must be paid in full at time of application. The monthly rate will be guaranteed for the next nine months of membership.
An annual lump sum payment is also a payment option.
Admittance Policy
- When purchasing a daily admission for the first time, patrons must complete an application and have proof of residency or employment in Troy in order to get a lower rate. A parent or legal guardian must sign for persons 18 or younger.
- Pass holders must present their Recreation Card to gain entry to the recreation areas.
- Children under 10 must be accompanied and supervised by an individual 16 or older in all areas of the Community Center. Individuals only supervising others must obtain a spectator pass at the control desk.
- Children under 3 are admitted free with a paying adult.
- The minimum age to use the fitness room is 13. Thirteen year olds must complete a Fitness Room orientation prior to using the fitness equipment.
Cancellations/Refunds/Service Fees
- Recreation Passes purchased with the EFT service can be cancelled at any time by completing a Pass Cancellation form at least 30 days prior to the EFT date.
- A pass can be suspended (pass freeze) for 3 to 6 months due to temporary relocation or medical reasons for $10 by completing a Pass Change form at least 30 days prior to the month of the freeze. Proper documentation for temporary location includes a letter from employer or utility statement with new address. A letter from a physician is required for a medical freeze.
- There is a $10 processing fee for pass freezes.
- There is a $25 fee for credit card and check transactions (including EFT's) returned as unpayable by the financial institution.
- Passes (except for a corporate recreation pass) are not transferable. There are no refunds on recreation passes.
